Abstract : In the current context of climate change, mathematical models that predict the seasonal behaviour of fruit trees under climatic scenarios are essential tools for breeders and growers to anticipate the impacts and risks of future climatic conditions. I have worked on several plant species (Arabidopsis, pea, cherry) and I have developed approaches that combined molecular biology and modelling to improve predictive power for flowering and development models. Recent advances in transcriptomics and computational biology may allow us to unravel the mechanisms involved in the response to temperature in non-model plants and I plan to use them in order to build new predictive models.
