Abstract :
"The research work I have carried out has helped demonstrate that plant metabolomics, whether targeted by the analysis of key compounds such as those related to redox metabolism, or non-targeted with the global assessment of phytochemical diversity, is at the forefront of the study of plant performance. The research project constitutes a new stage in my academic career, even though it has two main research lines in continuity with the research work initiated at UMR 1332 BFP. The first research axis continues the work on biochemistry and modelling redox metabolism in tomato and extends it to other species such as vine. The second line of research reinforces the predictive metabolomics strategy applied to the study of plant performance through various projects that have just begun.
More generally, the research project should contribute scientifically to the necessary convergence between plant metabolomics and functional ecology in order to address complex systems, and to respond to the new questions posed by the issue of agroecological systems, which is essential for taking into account the trade-off between plant development and their responses to environmental constraints."
